Parkrun Challenge 2026 #4

A massive thank you to everyone who turned out for the fourth Parkrun of the 2026 Club Challenge at Denton Dene on Saturday.

It was another fantastic turnout, with 30 club members taking part and representing the club brilliantly. We were especially pleased to welcome four first-timers to Denton Dene, adding to the great atmosphere and showing the continued enthusiasm for this year's competition.

The conditions clearly suited some speedy running, as it proved to be a brilliant day for personal bests. An impressive six course PBs were achieved, earning an extra 10 bonus points each. Congratulations to Arran, Guy, Andrew, Christine, Anna and Susanne on their excellent performances.

Fantastic effort from Gary and Deborah, scoring the 20 bonus points each for a Parkrun PB, Gary smashed his by over 4 minutes and at Denton Dene!

There was also a strong showing across the age categories. Securing top spot in their respective categories, and picking up an additional 15 bonus points, were Daniel, Stephen, Mick, John, Laura, David, Esme, Christine and Amelia. Fantastic running from all of you.

Unfortunately, this week's wildcard bonus was void, as there were only 107 finishers at Denton Dene. Better luck with that one next time!

Well done to everyone who took part. Whether you were chasing points, aiming for a PB, or simply enjoying being part of the club challenge, every run contributes to the spirit and success of the competition. We look forward to seeing you all at the next Parkrun challenge event.
