Parkrun challenge #5

Tyne Green was buzzing on Saturday as 38 of our club runners took on the fifth Parkrun in the 2026 challenge. Huge thanks to everyone who came along — and a warm welcome to our two first timers who ran at Tyne Green for the first time.

If you were chasing a PB, this was the week to do it - w e had 5 Parkrun PBs (20 bonus points each!) for Adam Bell, Morgan Sparke, Liam Bolam, Lachlan O’Neil and Lily Bolam — brilliant running.

On top of that, 10 course PBs rolled in from Adam, Morgan, Gavin, Mike, John, Neil M, Liam, Lachlan, Kelly, Lily and Paul C. That’s another stack of 10 bonus points heading their way.

Age‑category winners were out in force too — Adam, Morgan, Gavin, Stephen, Mick, John, Liam and Hilary all bagged an extra 15 points. Superb stuff.

This week’s wildcard bonus goes to Gavin T, who adds another well‑earned boost to his total, pushing him into first place by one point! With one event to go who will finish in first place?

And our top scorer of the day? Adam Bell, smashing it with 93 points. Outstanding.
