TriAthlon Training

Triathlon training involves training for the three individual disciplines of swim, bike and run and also training on transitions.

Ponteland Runners, as a running club, provides a good set of running sessions on a weekly basis. See the Club Run Sessions page for details of the run sessions.

Ponteland Runners is continually looking to offer bike sessions for those members interested in Duathlon and Triathlon.  Check out the Club Bike Sessions for latest information.  These sessions, when demand exists,  will also include transition training in the spring to prepare for the early season events.

Ponteland Runners does not yet provide any Swim sessions.  We will be working with other clubs and Triathlon England to provide the range of training necessary to support all competitors in the club in 2014.  This page will be updated with session details as they become available.

Ponteland Runners would expect to provide targetted transition training in early 2014 to prepare members for specific events.
