Go-Tri’s are all about having a go and enjoying yourself. Great to see so many having fun with the photo frames from British Triathlon that were around for our event. The weather was kind and we had a lovely evening for a sell-out event with 70 participants. The Ponteland Go-tri’s have a regular following which is great to see and we hope to see many of you back in 2019, and more importantly entering our Sprint Tri Ponteland event on July 1st 2018. The go-tri results are below, well done to everyone.
Loads of photo’s on our facebook page, worth having a look, if you were racing there may well be a picture of you.
The weather was great all day, until the hour before the go-tri was due to start, but that didn’t seem to deter the participants with only a few no-shows and a reasonable number signing up on the evening. Our volunteer marshalls all tried to shelter under a single umbrella….. We had 33 finishers, and well done to them all. Results below.
Great to see the Sprint Tri Ponteland event logo, based on our Runners and Tri club logo’s.
We are very lucky to have a club member who had the skills to design our logo and create the brand for the Runners, the Triathletes and now our first event later this year.
Looking forward to “Sprint Tri Ponteland” on July 1st 2018. Hopefully all our Running and Tri club members will be there on the day supporting, volunteering, participating and enjoying the atmosphere. We are a very friendly club and aim to make the event as friendly and successful as the Go-Tri events have been over the last four years.
After 30 weeks of training, race day finally arrived. By way of a diary and some “interesting” statistics – here is the race report. Hopefully this serves as inspiration to the brave band of warriors preparing to enter in 2018. Huge thanks to everyone at the club for their support.
